Community Impact
Dedicated to exhibiting and teaching solid leadership principles with a focus on women and minority entrepreneurs, Sheila has served on 13 nonprofit boards and held a variety of leadership roles. She currently serves on the executive advisory board of How Women Lead, a champion for promoting the voices of all women and propelling their leadership forward.
She most recently served as the co-chair of 2.Oakland, whose mission is to build and support the tech ecosystem in Oakland and the East Bay, and as a member of the Economic Development Committee of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, she has worked to provide access to arts education for youth in underserved communities, and redefine a platform to mobilize young women in politics. She has also actively helped women-owned businesses grow and prosper and young entrepreneurs dream big.
