Fundraising Day in New York | Now Available Via Pre-Recorded Video

Sheila is a member of the presenting faculty at Fundraising Day in New York (FRDNY). Sheila joins Hank Goldstein, Principal, The Oram Group to lead a workshop on the new Consulting Track. This track was created to provide a roadmap to successfully launching a consulting practice and prepare attendees for the challenges once they have. Their session entitled, “How to Be a Consultant” showcases best practices in areas including business structure, branding, pricing, and client development.

The nation’s largest one-day conference on philanthropy, which is produced by the New York City chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, will be a virtual event in 2020. “While we can’t all be together in New York, we will provide fundraisers with the valuable advice and guidance as originally planned,” said Gregory Boroff, Chief External Relations Officer at City Harvest and the Conference Chair for FRDNY 2020.

FRDNY consists of 50 education sessions across 12 fundraising disciplines, including direct response, major gifts, planned giving, and technology. Originally scheduled for Friday, June 5, at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan, the event’s recorded content will be available online starting in early June. The material covers all aspects of fundraising and is relevant to fundraisers at all stages of their careers.

“Each year, we provide the sector’s best educational content to approximately 1,800 fundraising professionals at FRDNY. Given that the Covid-19 pandemic makes an in-person conference impossible this year, our move to a virtual platform for FRDNY will give fundraisers the flexibility to access our critical content at a time suitable for them,” said AFP-NYC Chapter President Steve Jacobson, CEO of Jacobson Consulting Applications, Inc. “At a time when nonprofit organizations around the country and in our backyard are struggling to stay afloat, it’s more important than ever to share ideas, techniques and strategies with fundraisers to help them raise more money.”

Along with the pre-recorded sessions, our FRDNY faculty will host one-hour Q&A sessions at the end of June.
