South African Day of Reconciliation

The world speaks to us. I sure hope all of us are listening.

This morning, my colleague and friend, Tanya Cruz Teller, who lives, works, plays and thrives in Johannesburg, shared in an email that today, December 16th, is the Day of Reconciliation in South Africa - a day aimed at promoting national unity and focusing people’s attention on the shared future of South Africa.

She said, "It is an opportune reminder locally and globally to reflect on how we interact with ourselves, others, and the world so that we can continue to move collectively in a positive trajectory of collaboration and health in the midst of adversity, trauma, and everyday stress."

After reading her message, I took a moment to consider the global application of this Day of Reconciliation. Might you do the same?

Thank you for sharing, Tanya. My day started out better because of your message.
