Uh, oh! What to Wear to My Job Interview?
As a kid, I dreamed of leaving Michigan winters and heading west. I wasn’t sure then where exactly that was, but the west was calling my name. In my mid-corporate career stage, the perfect job opened up at Visa USA, then located in San Mateo, California. I became laser-focused on getting that job!

South African Day of Reconciliation
The world speaks to us. I sure hope all of us are listening. This morning, my colleague and friend, Tanya Cruz Teller, who lives, works, plays and thrives in Johannesburg, shared in an email that today, December 16th, is the Day of Reconciliation in South Africa
Post-Summer Pivot
I’ve spoken with several people recently who have found it necessary to look at a goal differently and pivot how they have been pursuing it. Some found deep disappointment in the need to pivot as they were sure that the plans they had laid out would propel them forward. And in talking with them I found that they had totally missed acknowledging the parts of their plan that actually worked!

What I know for sure is that what is meant for us will not pass us by. Simone did all of this her way and all that she needed came to her.
Your Path of Totality
The Great North American Eclipse did not travel my way, but I watched it on television as it entered the U.S. in Texas and made its way east. What intrigued me most about the eclipse was the language used to describe its journey—the path of totality. This language made me wonder what path or paths of totality I may have taken in my life.
