My New Year Wishes… for All of Us
The end of the year brings forth various acknowledgments of the year that is ending and desires for the year ahead. Most sentiments sound like Hallmark cards or recycled greetings from past years.
This year I awoke to a poem of sorts written by the husband of a dear friend that really gets to the point of it all for me. It’s not complicated or demanding. It’s not witty or humorous. It’s simple and charming and invites the humanness of each us to rise up.
In this New Year,
May we have a deeper understanding of our true value and worth.
Absolute faith in our unlimited potential.
Peace of mind in the midst of uncertainty.
Confidence to let go when we need to.
Acceptance to replace our resistance.
Gratitude to open our hearts.
Strength to meet our challenges.
Great love to replace our fear.
Forgiveness and compassion for those who offend us.
Clear sight to see our best and true path.
Hope to dispel doubts.
Conviction to make our dreams come true.
Meaningful and rewarding synchronicities.
Dear friends who truly know and love us.
Childlike trust in the benevolence of the universe.
Humility to remain teachable.
Wisdom to fully embrace our life exactly as it is.
Understanding that our soul has its own course to follow.
Discernment to recognize our own unique inner voice of truth.
Courage to learn and be still.
Let us all become better people so we can create a better world.
